You can download the latest copy of the SmartDoc template from your copy of SmartSimple.

1. Select the Help, Download menu.

2. Right click on the File icon and choose the Save Target As menu.

In order for SmartDoc to automatically load when Word starts, the template must be stored in the Word Startup folder.

3. Place this template in the user's Word startup folder - usually C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\Startup.

Determining the Correct Folder for SmartDoc

You can verify the correct folder by using the following technique:

1. Start Microsoft Word.

2. Choose the Tools, Options menu – File Locations tab.

3. Review the folder associated with the Startup entry.

Ensure the Startup folder is the same as the one in which you placed the template.
